My only excuse is I was writing away from the net and it completely slipped my overtaxed mind!

We’re glad to be back and we have some new things going on . . .
Look up and see the eyes peering down on us? Well, those belong to T. We’re being a little James Bondish but we have to since T works as a freelance editor however, we cajoled her into doing reviews here on Babes. In addition to her reviews, T will be offering her services - look to the right now and you’ll see links to click. Need a line edit? Want a professional critique? Need your series indexed (T did this for me - she made notebooks - color-coded - how much did I love that??? - for the Rose Tattoo series so that when I went back after nearly a decade, I had all the relevant details at my fingertips.) Any arrangements for editorial services is strictly between T and the interested party and in no way related to or endorsed by BabesinBookland, jointly or severally. Sorry - we had to put that in for obvious reasons.
T’s reviews will appear on Fridays and if you click the link to the right, you can make arrangements for T to consider a book for review. She enjoys all sorts of genres but there are a few things she won’t review - 1. Any book by one of the Babes; 2. Any book in which the author participates financially - or as it is commonly known - no vanity or subsidiary press. Enough no-nos, let’s talk about what she will be doing . . .
Using the instructions on the ‘review’ link, please make arrangements at least 2 months prior to the release date. Is that a hard and fast rule? Of course not, but T does need time to read and we’d like to put up reviews when the books are being released. A review is an opinion, so keep that in mind. You can submit your own work or a friend’s book. Or maybe even a stranger’s book you’ve managed to get as an ARC. We want to celebrate books.
Need some incentive? Every person who posts a request for a review (THAT IS IN ADDITION TO FOLLOWING THE ‘REVIEW ME’ LINK FOR T), will be eligible for a basket of Babedom. All you have to do is post a quick ‘I contacted T for a review’ here on Babes and you’re entered to win all sorts of things from the Babes.
So, welcome T and we’re so glad you’re here!
Amy, Leanne, Rhonda, Traci and T
It was with great sadness and heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of Kate Duffy this week. Kate was truly a visionary editor. She founded Silhouette as an American alternative to Harlequin Books; she developed the Worldwide Press for Harlequin Books after Harlequin and Silhouette merged and founded the Tapestry imprint for Pocket, a division of Simon and Schuster. Those are just a few of her many, many accomplishments. She also found and developed the careers of some of the powerhouse’s of women’s fiction. She will be missed.
Welcome back, Babes, and welcome to T!
Welcome back, you fabulous Babes! I'm looking forward to reading what T has to say. Leanne, Kate was also my first editor, which is kind of like your first love. You never forget that person - there's always room in your heart for them.
